今天是休假天，很快樂的睡到自然醒，但是因為明天又要去上課了，所以不敢太囂張，八點還是爬起來了。今天只有一項功課要做，就是要準備presentation的故事，找了幾天，決定找一個冷門的故事。有關於蘭嶼-情人洞的故事。以下貼上我英文版的故事，不是寫的很好，但是老外似乎覺得這故事很有趣。起碼我homemom跟homedad很喜歡，台灣什麼沒有就是這種故事特別多，每個地名都有個故事。
Lover’s Grotto
It is a story about a place name. It is called Lover’s Grotto. It is on Lan-Yu Island that is a small island near Taiwan.
A long time age, a fisherman is named Soya. One day, he went to sea for fish, but he wasn’t able to catch any fish. He told himself, “ This is my last try, if I can’t catch any fish, and I’ll go home.” When he pulled out the net, he saw a beautiful, big butterfly. He said, “Such as a beautiful butterfly, you should dry your wings and fly to Lan-Yu Island. There are many orchids. It is a place for you.” The butterfly seems understand Soya’s words, she flew around his head and flew to the island. When Soya went back to the island, and he heard noisy sounds from the forest. He went to the forest; he saw the butterfly jammed in spider’s web. He helped her again.
Next day, Soya caught a lot of fish. When he went back two hurt lions ran to him and asked for help. He took two lions to a place and said, “ It’s a grotto. There are no hunters here you can live here. “
Soya sold his fish and went home. When he opened the door he saw a pretty girl who wore high-priced clothes stood in his house. She had already cooked a good supper. She said, “ It’s supper time. Let’s eat supper.”
Soya so surprised and said, “ Who are you?”
She answered, “ You saved me twice, don’t you remember me?”
Soya said, “I saved you? When? I don’t remember.”
She said, “ Yesterday, you saved me in the sea and you helped me out of the spider’s web.”
Soya said, ” You are the butterfly.”
She said, “Yes.” She told him she is a princess of butterfly kingdom. A prince in the sea wants her to marry him. He forced her to his palace and prepared for the wedding. When the prince drank and slept likes a pig. She escaped.
She said, “ Thanks for your help, would you marry me?”
Soya likes the princess. That night they married.
One day, there was a storm on the sea. Soya didn’t come home for supper. The princess worried about him. Two lions ran to Soya’s house and told the princess the bad news. The spider caught Soya and he wanted to catch the princess. They were on the way to her house. Two lions asked the princess to fly to the sky to find the goddess for help.
Two lions stayed in her house and fought against an army. The princess found the goddess and she gave her a green stone. She said the green stone only could use for once. The princess flew on the Lan-Yu Island. She saw lions were dying. She wants to use the green stone to save her husband, but she can’t watch two lions die for her. She threw the green stone to help the lions. The prince is dead and his head became a big dragon stone. The lions beat the army, but whey used up their lives. They became two stones that are called two lions’ stone.
The princess went to the spider’s nest. The web was strong she wasn’t able to destroy it. Finally, she destroyed the web. She also hurt herself; she lost a lot of blood. She died in Soya’s arms.
Soya held the princess’ body and cried for seven days. He died, too. His tears and the princess’ blood became a river. The riverbank grew up a new flower. It looked likes a butterfly. People said that is the princess, so the flower is called butterfly orchid. The place they died is called Lover’s Grotto.
這故事在網路上查的到，有興趣的可以去查查看囉！這也是我第一次知道這個故事，也找到這些地名的照片，我想等我回台灣應該會找機會去蘭嶼玩囉！
寫這故事花了我三個鐘頭研究跟寫，算是我第一篇故事性的presentation囉！日期是星期四，我們這次只能帶張紙講故事，只裡面只能有10個單字，願上帝保佑我，一切順利囉！

It’s a nice story; however, it would be better if you can fix some grammatical errors and combine some simple sentences together. (There are four kinds of sentences: simple, compound, complex, and compound – complex.)
For example, "This is my last try, if I can’t catch any fish, and I’ll go home"
the word "and" is used for connecting two independent clauses; therefore, "This is my last try; if I can’t catch any fish, I’ll go home" would be a little bit better…
anyway… it’s your choice; I’m just a person who pass by.
